AAAC All Aluminum Alloy Conductor -ASTM B399

Essential details
Place of Origin: Henan, China
Brand Name: RMJT
Model Number: Conductor AAAC
Insulation Material: Bare conductor
Type: High Voltage
Application: Overhead
Conductor Material:All aluminum stranded
Jacket: Bare conductor
Standard: ASTM B399
Certificate: ISO9001-2008,ISO14001-2004
Sectional Area: 375.3mm2
No. of wire: 37/3.59mm

Application:

Conductor(AAAC) have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels, and also used in power lines across great rivers, heavy ice area, and other places special geographical characteristics.

The conductor has excellent advantages of high strength, large current carrying capacity and good catenary property as well as wear-resistance, anti-crush and corrosion-proof with structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low cost for the line, large transmission capacity.

 Benefits:

  • AAAC (All Aluminum Alloy Conductor) conductor cable referred to have higher strength but lower conductivity than pure aluminum. Being lighter, alloy conductors can sometimes be used to advantage in place of the more conventional ACSR; Having lower breaking loads than the latter, their use becomes particularly favourable when ice and win loading are low.
  • High tensile strength as compared to AAC conductor.
  • Higher conductivity as compared to ACSR conductor.
  • Better corrosion resistance than ACSR conductor.

Construction:

Standard 6201-T81 high strength aluminum conducotors, conforming to ASTM B399, are concenticlay-strandedsimilar in construction and appearance to 1350 grade aluminum conductors. Standard 6201 alloy conductors are similar to other alloy conductors commercially known as Ardival, Aldrey or Almelec. They were developed to fill the need for an economical conductor for overhead applications requiring higher strength than that obtainable with 1350 grade aluminum conductors, but without a steel core. The DC resistance at 20°C of the 6201-T81 conductors and of standard ACSRs of same diameter are approxmately the same. Conductors of 6201-T81 alloys are harder, have a greater resistance to abrasion  than conductors of 1350-H19 grade aluminum.

Standards:

GB1179, IEC61089, BS3242, DIN48201, ASTMB399

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ambient temperature: Above -20 °C
  • Working temperature: Not exceed 80 °C
  • Laying bending radius: Not less than 30 times the cables outer diameter
