Nexans got Qatar MV/LV cables contract worth 2.18 billion USD

Recently, Kahramaa has signed a cable supply contract with Nexans. The contract is worth about € 300 million (US $ 2.18 billion), including medium and low voltage cables for residential infrastructure projects in Qatar.

The total length of project is more than 2000km, which Nexans will provide medium voltage cables or Covered Aerial Medium Voltage Cable as primary and secondary overhead distribution lines, and low voltage cables including duplex/triplex/quadruplex conductor cables for 0.6/1kV transmissions applications.

Through this contract, Nexans will not only supply cables for Qatar, but will also meet the growing demand for energy and promote infrastructure development.

The supply cables will connect substations to Doha and surrounding infrastructure projects such as the Doha New Port, the Qatar Railway subway project, the 2022 Soccer World Cup and other related projects.
