Chile received $854 million loans for 600km transmission line

Recently, the Chilean transmission company TEN received 854 million US dollars loans for the construction, operation and maintenance of a 600 km of transmission lines.

There are 9 domestic and foreign banks and a US insurance company, including the German Renaissance Bank - Ipex Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Bank of Japan Mizuho, Bank of Chile, Chile Santander Bank, the United States Prudential insurance companies.

The transmission lines will connect Chile's Southern Power Grid (SING) and Central Power Grid (SIC). According to the German bank revival, by increasing the capacity of the grid, interconnect the two power grid system will improve the stability of the overall power system, cost reduction is very important.

The transmission line is expected to be operational by the end of 2017.
