Armenia's two cross-boundary transmission lines will be completed in 2019

Recently, Armenia-Iran and Armenia-Georgia high-voltage overhead transmission lines are expected to be completed by the end of 2019, according to Hayk Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources of Armenia.

  According to Harutyunyan, the project will increase the transmission capacity of Armenia-Iran from 300 MW to 1000-1200 MW, and the transmission capacity of Armenia-Georgia will increase from 200 MW to 300 MW.

The construction of these two overhead transmission lines will facilitate the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the Russian-Georgian-Armenian-Iran region.
